About

Who are Engineers in Action?

Engineers in Action is a nonprofit organization that builds sustainable rural infrastructure, led by local expertise and powered by global partners.

Their University Bridge Program encourages students from around the world to challenge themselves and apply the skills they have learned in the classroom to make a meaningful impact. In this year-long program, students will learn the process of engineering, cost calculation, construction scheduling, and risk mitigation to benefit a community in need. They will have the opportunity to travel to and live with the community during the bridge construction.

Who are Engineers in Action WSU?

We are a student chapter of Engineers in Action. We gather once or twice a week to advance our projects, plan fundraising efforts, and build relationships.

We work on real-world engineering projects that provide students with opportunities to make a meaningful impact, apply skills learned in the classroom, build relationships beyond the university, and develop leadership skills.

We also host social events to promote “friends doing engineering” and simply have fun. Interested folks from all majors and any skill level are welcome and encouraged to join!
